Limestone Flagstones

Limestone Flagstones

Limestone comes from many countries around the world and has different sediments some are darker or lighter than others within the same quarry and also have more colour variation, some are more consistent and some have more fossils and veins.

We sell mainly Egyptian limestone were we carefully select and choose the correct blocks, in the factory its cut into the tiles to size required, then lastly packed into pallets after a last check with our product management team controlling the quality and selection.

Definitions;

Tumbled tiles are aged and have slightly worn edges sometimes also called honed and tumbled tiles. We mainly sell these as they are more in keeping with traditional houses, although many people still use in contemporary homes.

Tumbled and brushed tiles look worn on the surface as well as aged, these have a slightly more shinny surface as if they had been down decades.

Tumbled and flamed tiles have a aged finish with an uneven surface.

Tumbled brushed and hand cut tiles have a jagged edge and are usually flagstones so vary in depth more than others.

Honed and Straight cut are smooth tiles with square edges we normally push people towards our exiting porcelain stone look range, as a lot of the larger format tiles can easily chip in transport and when fitting.
