Travertine

Travertine is a form of limestone (softer stone) deposited by mineral springs. Travertine often has a fibrous appearance. This stone is characterised by pitted holes and throughs in its surface, although these troughs occur naturally,  they suggest signs of considerable wear and tear over time.

It is sold in 2 main finished HF or Tumbled.

Honed and filled HF or H&F - the filler will always expand and contract with underfloor heating.

Tumbled finish is aged and this has many pits on the surface. Depending on the quality this will not expand and contract if you use a flexible grout.
